Our Idea:

Public By Choice (PBC) is a multimedia project that is currently exploring how best to explain the public radio system to the audience. It is privately funded by its two principals.

Our Team:

Frank Hamilton, executive producer, has worked in new media for seven years. Four of those years were spent inside the public radio system as the Senior Web Producer at WAMU 88.5 in Washington, DC. Prior to WAMU, he served as a producer, editor and multimedia designer for Juneteenth Productions, an independent documentary film production company based in Chicago, IL.

April Fehling, producer, is a media relations specialist at American University Washington College of Law. She formerly coordinated women’s and human rights programs at WCL, and facilitates a network of women’s rights educators in India, where she has lived and worked extensively. April has conducted research, writing and editing for organizations in Washington, DC and New York City.
